James Dewitt Yancey ist am 10. Feburar 2006 verstorben. Für viele gehört Dilla zu den Beatbastlern schlechthin. Am 07. Februar würde Dilla seinen 36sten Geburtstag feiern. "BEATS, RHYMES & LIFE" steht an eben diesem Sonntag ganz im Zeichen des Mannes aus Detroit. Die Setlist wird an jenem Abend ausschliesslich Tracks featuren, bei denen Dilla mitgewirkt hat, sei es am Beat oder am Mic. Eine ausführliche Dilla-Discography gibt’s HIER.
